Call for Papers
The International Trumpet Research Journal (ITRJ) is thrilled to announce its launch. The inaugural issue of the ITRJ will be published on November 29th, 2024. The ITRJ is an open-access, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to publishing original research on all aspects of the trumpet, encompassing performance, pedagogy, history, and literature.
ITRJ objectives
The ITRJ aims to:
- Publish high-quality research that significantly contributes to the field of trumpet research.
- Provide a platform for scholars and performers worldwide to share their research.
- Advance knowledge and understanding of the trumpet.
- The IJTR is excited to announce a groundbreaking initiative for the publication of performance research.
- So, we call for traditional papers but also welcome submissions of recordings, concerts, and other audiovisual materials that document performance and/or composition activities.
We are seeking contributions that address any aspect related to the trumpet, including but not limited to:
- Performance techniques
- Music pedagogy and education
- History and development of the trumpet
- Research on trumpet player health
- Technological innovations and their impact on the trumpet
- Case studies and professional experiences

To submit your manuscripts, authors must register at journal.trumpetresearch.com and follow the submission instructions.

Submission guidelines
- Articles must be original and unpublished.
- The maximum length is 8,000 words, including references and appendices.
- Manuscripts should follow APA format.
- Include an abstract of no more than 250 words.
- Attach a brief biography of the author(s), no longer than 150 words.

- Guarantee access to the audiovisual content through a link or permanent repository.
